Wreaths Across America 2026
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery and at more than 1,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
Wreaths can be purchased in the Social hall after all the Masses on October 24/25, Oct. 31/Nov. 1 and November 7/8. Wreaths can also be purchased any time during the year online at https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/PA0162P
The placing ceremony will be Saturday, December 19th at Noon. All are welcome to attend.

Crossnet Ministries Thanksgiving food drive 2026
The Father John Schmalhofer Council of the Knights of Columbus sponsored a Thanksgiving food drive for the Community Food Bank at Cross Net Ministries in October. Because of the generosity of our parishioners and their help we collected 1884 pounds of food, paper and cleaning products. Thank you for making this food drive one of the best on record!
The Cross Net youth center includes a gym with a full service kitchen and seating areas. This is where local youth come to play games, do homework, socialize after school and, if needed, get a hot meal. Beginning in June, Cross Net sponsors a summer lunch program 2 days a week. At the Crossnet food bank, families can shop for food on Wednesday. The food bank also makes power packs lunches for students to take home for the weekend. The Cross Net Ministries also offers nutrition, money management classes and have social workers on staff to help families.
Coats for Kids 2026
Our council held a sub/sandwich sale in October with proceeds going to the Coats for Kids program at Conestoga Valley schools. 77 subs and 60 pretzel sandwiches were sold raising over $500 for the purchase of coats. November of 2026 coats will be delivered to students of the Conestoga Valley School district.
In 2025, coats were delivered to Eastern Lancaster County school district. ELANCO received 40 new coats that were distributed to needy students in the district.
Our council has participated in this program for the last 6 years. New coats are distributed on a yearly rotation between Conestoga Valley, Pequea Valley and ELANCO school districts.

Church work party 2026
After the summer storms several trees around the church were damaged and removed. In August and September brother Knights worked to place the wood chips from the trees around the Swing set behind church as well as the outdoor altar area. Many thanks to Bob Quinliven, Allen Quigg, Pat Naimoli, Bill O’Neill, Jim Futer, Chuck Proviano and Gene Skulrak (not shown). Gene was the photographer.
In August the parking lot was repaved and in October the curbs and light poles were painted hazard yellow to complete the parking lot. Thanks to brother Knights and parishioners who facilitated this project with donations and sweat equity, especially:

Big piles made into little piles
2026 CrossNet Spring food drive: A total of 1297 pounds of food and personal items were donated.

2026 Baby Bottle Fundraiser: Ended on February 12th and raised $3933.84 for A Women’s Concern in Lancaster. Thank you for your generosity!
OLOL Feast Day breakfast 2026
On Sunday, February 8th, the Fr. John Schmalhofer council provided breakfast between the Sunday Masses for the parishioners. This is a small thank you to the parish for their support of our council.
A Woman’s Concern Baby Bottle Campaign 2026
Beginning January 10th empty baby bottles will be distributed after all the weekend Masses to be filled with coins, cash or checks. Return the filled bottles by the weekend of February 7/8.
Your giving will make a positive difference for the women and children of our community. Fill a bottle and change a life. A Woman's Concern offers FREE pregnancy and parenting resources to women and families in southeast and south central Pennsylvania. 2025 Summer work party
Several Knights and parishioners came together in July to assist a disabled parishioner with weeding and yard waste cleanup.
Lancaster Challenger Baseball fundraiser 2025
Two foursomes from our council participated in the Lancaster Challenger baseball annual golf tournament fundraiser at Tanglewood Golf club in Quarryville on June 6th. It was a beautiful day and a great cause. Pictured are the members who played.
OLOL feast day breakfast 2025
Winter Coat Donations 2024 In December, members from Our Lady of Lourdes Knights of Columbus council 13451 delivered winter coats to the Peaquea Valley school district. These coats were distributed among the district where they were needed most.
